About the Role

We are seeking a talented lawyer to join our Marine team at a Tier 1 Ranked Legal 500 Law Firm. As a Solicitor with c.2 years PQE+, you will have experience of working on marine insurance, including trade, transport litigation, and shipping dispute resolution.

You will be acting for governments, producers, trading companies, banks, cargo insurers, national oil companies, and international traders on complex issues. Your responsibilities will include conducting training sessions and workshops for clients and providing supervision to junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acting for clients on marine insurance matters, including trade, transport litigation, and shipping dispute resolution
  • Conducting training sessions and workshops for clients
  • Providing supervision to junior members of the team
  • Working with governments, producers, trading companies, banks, cargo insurers, national oil companies, and international traders
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor with 2 years experience in marine or trading
  • Ability to work to deadlines, prioritize, and manage a varied caseload
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Strong legal and leadership skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
