Procurement and Contract Specialist Job Summary
Project People is seeking an experienced Procurement and Contract Specialist to join our Commercial Team. This is a fixed term contract for 6 months based in Reading or Home-working arrangement. The salary for this position is around £55,000-£75,000 per annum depending on experience.

As a key member of the Commercial Team, your primary responsibility will be to lead on all procurement, commercial, supplier and contract management activities, and coordination of overall supplier relationships. This includes conducting a key strategic RFP to select appropriate suppliers and negotiating the contract for a significant outsourced service.

Main Responsibilities
• Lead the RFP activity, working with input from a virtual multi-functional team
• Manage all phases of the RFP and be the commercial lead for supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting phases
• Engage and brief key stakeholders throughout the progress of the RFP
• Minimise commercial risks including those arising from transition to the selected supplier services
• Produce all commercial deliverables, as necessary e.g., negotiation plan, contract risk analysis, benefits analysis and contract creation and closure

Skills and Qualifications
• Previous experience of leading RFPs for key outsourced services
• Negotiating complex framework contracts
• Good understanding of contract law
• Significant Supplier & Contract management experience
