About the Opportunity

North Hertfordshire College is seeking an exceptional SEND Personal and Academic Development Coach to join our team. This role offers a unique chance to make a positive impact on the lives of students, providing personalized support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Job Description:
  • Teaching and Learning: Provide high-quality academic tutoring to students, focusing on those who require additional support to succeed.
  • Safeguarding and Wellbeing: Deliver key tutorial content on safety, health, and wellbeing, including Prevent, safeguarding, and healthy relationships.
  • Curriculum Support: Work closely with curriculum teams to identify and provide online learning resources for students.

The successful candidate will hold a teaching qualification (CertEd, PGCE, DET, AET) or be committed to pursuing relevant teacher training. They should demonstrate a strong understanding of the pastoral needs of 16-19 year olds and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to pursue relevant training.
  • Strong understanding of pastoral needs among 16-19 year olds.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Salary: £22,365-£25,560 per annum (full-time equivalent).
