Job Description

The Job Mission

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to bridge the gap between two critical nuclear projects at different stages of their civil design lifecycle. Your mission will be to perform a comprehensive gap analysis to align civil requirements with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and update the Book of Technical Specifications (BTS).
  • Identify and address missing information to ensure BTS accuracy and compliance with project schedules.
  • Update project Codes and Standards based on gap analysis findings.
  • Manage and finalize BTS revisions through stakeholder feedback and approvals.
  • Lead progress meetings, workshops, and action plans to drive project success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Experience in Nuclear Civil Work or complex structural projects.
  • Proficiency in structural design and engineering calculations.
  • Familiarity with Eurocodes, American codes, and/or ETC-C.
  • Knowledge of UK Health and Safety regulations (e.g., CDM 2015).

Desired Skills

  • Experience in design of concrete structures and steel-lined pools/tanks.
  • Understanding of seismic loading on structures.
  • Experience with material interfaces on large projects.
  • Working towards or motivated to achieve chartership with ICE or IStructE.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting complex technical topics.
