Technical Director Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead our growing team and deliver projects in the marine sector. As a key member of our Environment & Sustainability business, you will be responsible for directing consenting inputs to large-scale development projects and leading business development efforts to grow our market share.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multidisciplinary consenting inputs across a wide range of projects, supporting projects to gain consent
  • Direct the preparation of reports such as environmental assessments and other reports required to support marine consents
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver benefits across the engineering and consenting aspects of projects
  • Lead business opportunities and associated fee and technical proposal development
  • Grow the marine sector, resulting in increased market share

Requirements:

  • Experience of directing and managing multidisciplinary consenting projects in the marine environment
  • Demonstrable experience of business development, including leading consultancy services and engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups and clients
  • Excellent understanding of the consenting and licensing regimes and processes, with a technical background in environmental assessment, planning, stakeholder engagement, or similar
  • Project management skills, including programming, staff resource management, and budget management
  • A degree in a relevant environmental discipline (preferably a Masters degree) and an appropriate professional membership
