About the Role

Citigroup Global Markets Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Developer to join our team. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for delivering advanced technology projects and providing technical leadership on projects implemented by the wider team of Software Engineers/Analyst Developers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable, and maintainable applications using Java and Agile software development processes.
  • Collaborate with a large global team of software engineers, business analysts, dev-ops and support staff to deliver software solutions for the business.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members to ensure they can deliver at the highest quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements in the field of software development.
Requirements
  • Core Java experience with a strong emphasis on object-oriented design principles.
  • Hands-on experience with concurrent programming and distributed caching frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile software development processes and SDLC/Dev Ops tools such as Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a large global team.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/STEM subject or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in the Capital Markets domain with a strong understanding of derivatives and risk management.
  • Experience re-engineering large monolithic applications to microservices and cloud computing technologies.
  • Cloud computing technologies with practical experience working with containers, microservices, and large datasets.
