Electrical Network Supervisor Job Description

The Electrical Network Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation of electricity networks. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and a proven track record of managing and supervising site personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the installation of HV and LV networks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage and supervise site personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement switching programs to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical networks.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the successful commissioning of HV/LV distribution systems.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in substation installations and a minimum of 2 years experience at AP level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Electricity Supply, Quality, Continuity Regulations and the Electricity at Work Regulations.
  • Health and Safety at Work Act (Advanced) certification.
  • LV Authorised Person certification.
  • First Aid (Advanced) certification.
  • Risk assessment training (Advanced).
  • Incorporated Engineer certification (preferable).
  • Experience in distribution systems through the range 400v to 33kv.
  • Ability to read schematic drawings and understand content.
  • Strong proven background within Electrical Engineering.
  • NRSWA, SMSTS and CSCS/SHEA cards IDNO/DNO in date competences.
