About the Role
We are seeking a Night Care Assistant to join our team at William Wood House in Sudbury.
As a Night Care Assistant, you will provide essential care to individuals in need, embracing values of empathy, respect, and dignity.
You will be responsible for personal care, medication administration, and supporting people through temporary or terminal illness.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal care and hygiene
- Medication administration and management
- Supporting individuals with temporary or terminal illness
- Assisting with eating and drinking
- Light domestic duties, such as bed making
- Supporting social, physical activities, and mental stimulation
About You
We are looking for a warm and friendly individual with a natural caring nature, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude.
You will be a great listener, have a caring and supportive attitude, and be focused on the individual, not the routine.

Requirements
- Care Certificate (desirable)
- QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (desirable)
- Full driving license (desirable)
To be eligible for the £750 joining bonus, you must meet the following criteria:
- You have not been working in the care industry for the previous 2 years OR have come straight from education (e.g., college, sixth form, apprenticeship)
- You must be employed for a minimum of 8 hours per week
- The scheme must be a CQC registered provider in Suffolk
- You must work for at least 12 weeks with Orwell and pass this starting period to qualify for the payment
