Job Description
We're looking for a highly skilled individual to join our team as an Assistant Trainmaster. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and tactical execution of our Operating Plan. This includes supervising operating crews, yardmasters, support staff, and assistant trainmasters. You'll also be accountable for inputs and outputs of safety, service, efficiency, financial metrics, and adherence to regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise operating crews to ensure compliance with the Operating Plan.
- Accountable for investigating safety rule and policy failures, identifying causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Participate in safety and business plan roll-outs across the region.
- Identify opportunities to increase yard/road fluidity and productivity.
- Build and lead a strong team of employees.
Requirements
- High School diploma or General equivalency required.
- Prior railway experience essential.
- Valid driver's license necessary.
- Previous operations-related experience considered an asset.
