About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Skills Trainer to join our team at the Nelson and Colne College Group. As a Training Specialist in Engineering, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training programmes to meet the needs of our apprentices.

Your Key Responsibilities

">
  • Develop and deliver training programmes for apprentices in the areas of Machining and Engineering.
  • Mentor and assess apprentices to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Work closely with employers and other stakeholders to ensure that training programmes meet their needs.
  • Conduct initial assessments of apprenticeship needs and develop individual learning plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and make recommendations for improvement.

What We Are Looking For

">
  • Relevant qualifications, including NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and A1 qualification or willingness to work towards it.
  • Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards it.
  • Current industrial experience or up-to-date industry CPD.
  • Experience of delivery and assessment of qualifications in this area.
  • IQA qualification or willingness to work towards it.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around £35,000-£36,500 per annum, depending on experience.
