Job Overview
A career opportunity exists for a Crane and Lifting Equipment Technical Specialist within a large, Blue-Chip organisation based in Derby. This role will involve ensuring all equipment meets Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards by visiting client sites on a Monday-Friday basis with flexible working hours.

About the Role
This position requires an HNC (or Equivalent) in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Marine or Automotive Engineering, along with hands-on experience of maintaining, servicing and repairing various crane & lifting equipment. Suitable candidates can come from diverse industries such as Field Service, Manufacturing, Army, Navy, RAF, Distribution, Marine, Rail, Aeronautical, Automotive. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable about LOLER & PUWER regulations, able to work unsupervised, make decisions on equipment condition and future use, and possess strong relationship-building skills. Additionally, they should be capable of working at height and in confined spaces.

Key Responsibilities
The Crane and Lifting Equipment Technical Specialist will visit clients' premises to inspect and test equipment, making sure it operates safely and efficiently. They will identify potential issues, carry out maintenance tasks, and provide recommendations for improvement. This role involves building strong relationships with clients, influencing them through effective communication, and presenting solutions that meet their needs. The ideal candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
