Early Years Support Worker

This role involves supporting a child with Autism (Non-Verbal) on a 1:1 basis in a primary school setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special needs and a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
About the Role
The school is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support the child's learning and development, while also contributing to the broader school community. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills and experience as a Teaching Assistant in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
- Support the class teacher in planning and preparing play-based learning activities.
- Work closely with the class teacher to implement strategies to support the child with Autism (Non-Verbal).
- Lead small groups and teach early phonics.
- Engage with children on a 1:1 basis to promote social and emotional development.
Person Specification
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Education.
- Experience working with children with Autism or other special needs.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and how to effectively plan and deliver play-based learning activities.
