About the Role
As a Power Networks Fitter at National Grid Electricity Distribution, you will be responsible for the safe construction, maintenance and repair of the electrical power network. This role involves working on distribution systems up to 66kV, installing and maintaining high voltage plant and apparatus.

You will spend your first 12 weeks in an induction programme at one of our Training Centres, earning while you learn and developing your knowledge, skills and behaviours to become a fully qualified fitter. Your training will include periods of on-the-job development, learning from experienced and qualified professionals in the industry.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be adventurous and driven to work in all weather conditions, and possess safety awareness with the ability to follow safety instructions and use protective equipment.

We offer a competitive salary of £17,649 per annum, which increases as you become more experienced. You will also receive 23 days annual leave (26 upon completion of training) plus statutory holidays, a competitive pension scheme, and Sharesave options.
