Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement process improvements for new products, ensuring seamless integration into existing manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and oversee new manufacturing processes, guaranteeing a smooth transition and high-quality products.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential risks.
  • Monitor and resolve production bottlenecks, ensuring efficient production workflows.
  • Ensure product and process quality, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Create project timelines and costings for production, providing accurate and reliable data for stakeholders.
  • Assess tooling requirements and order necessary equipment, optimizing production efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a similar role, with a background in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant qualifications, either through apprenticeships or degree-level education, with a focus on process engineering or a related field.
  • Desirable skills include knowledge or experience working with medical devices, assistive furniture, or postural support products, as well as familiarity with medical device regulations.
  • Production process improvement experience, focusing on efficiency gains in material utilization, time, cost, quality, and compliance.
  • Experience working with various materials, such as wood, sheet plastic, fabric, and sheet cardboard, would be beneficial.
