About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of trust and estate and personal tax clients, providing tax advice, and supporting business development strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing tax advice and guidance
  • Support business development strategies, attending meetings and quoting for services
  • Monitor team performance and profitability
  • Support Partners and Directors by undertaking ad-hoc work where required
  • Review tax work, maintaining high standards at every step
  • Oversee junior team members, including workflow management, quality control, and providing training
  • Build trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solving
  • Keep up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team

The Successful Applicant
  • ATT/CTA qualified with recent experience in UK practice
  • Qualified by experience would also be considered
  • A minimum of two years' management experience
  • Technically efficient across taxation
  • Good project management and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to progress
  • A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
  • Commercial business acumen
