About the RoleThis exciting opportunity will see you working as part of a high-end retail contracts team, completing building maintenance and electrical installations for a leading facilities management provider.
As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works on building plant, equipment, and systems in accordance with agreed service levels. You will also undertake small installation works and respond to site engineering emergencies.
Main Responsibilities:- Carry out routine maintenance on all electrical systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
- Perform reactive repairs on all systems as required, calling relevant sub-contractors as necessary.
- Liaise with sub-contractors for repairs/quotations, monitoring performance of sub-contractor personnel, ensuring works have been undertaken correctly and work area has been left in a satisfactory condition.
- Sign off completed PPM and reactive tasks in line with policies and procedures in a timely manner.
- Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures, and working arrangements, as required.
- Be involved in call-out rota if applicable.
- Liaise and work with other trade engineers to ensure electrical issues on all systems are attended to and resolved within SLA agreements.
- Recognized Electrical Qualification (NVQ/C&Gs)
- C&G 17th Edition in Electrical Installations
- Time served apprenticeship
- Good knowledge of various building electrical systems and working to Planned Preventative Maintenance Regimes
- Current and relative knowledge of BS in relation to electrical systems on site Emergency light/Fire alarm/power/BMS etc.
- Clean driving license
The estimated salary for this role is £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will also receive a range of benefits including health insurance, pension scheme, and opportunities for career development.
