About the Role

This position plays a critical role in optimizing productivity and plant availability within our hazardous waste management facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently receive, process, and dispatch incoming hazardous wastes to ensure safe handling and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and perform activities in an effective and timely manner.
  • Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and processes related to waste management.
  • Monitor and control processes to minimize costs while ensuring secure waste disposal according to customer requirements.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a chemist in a hazardous waste management business or chemical/manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum HNC Chemistry qualification and GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English Language.
  • Fully qualified UK driver's license and ability to travel for business meetings and project work.
  • Proficient in MS Office and confident in analytical skills with data measurement and monitoring capabilities.

Estimated Salary: £52,500 per annum.
