Salary

The estimated hourly salary range for this role is £16-£20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Enhanced rates may be applicable for weekend shifts and other factors.

Job Description

We are currently seeking skilled chefs to join our team of flexible workers in Staffordshire and surrounding areas. As a Blue Arrow chef, you will have the opportunity to work in various environments, including restaurants, pubs, hotels, contract catering sites, and events. Our flexible staffing model allows you to choose from a variety of shifts and job types to suit your needs and commitments.

Types of Chefs We Are Looking For:
  • Cooks
  • Breakfast chefs
  • DBS-certified chefs/cooks for schools, care homes, and prisons
  • Chef de partie
  • Sous chefs
  • Head chefs, chef managers, catering managers
  • Event, conference, and banqueting chefs
Working Environment:

You will have the flexibility to work in different locations, with varying shift patterns, including day, evening, weekend, and night shifts. Due to the diverse range of clients we work with, your working environment will change regularly, but we will strive to place you in roles that suit your preferences and skill level.

Requirements and Skills:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a chef, preferably up to senior chef de partie level
  • Flexibility in shift patterns, including day and night shifts
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A Level 2 food hygiene certificate (ideally held but not essential)
  • A passion for food
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A valid UK driving license (for certain locations) and access to a vehicle
  • Your own chef whites and knives
  • An up-to-date Enhanced DBS check (dated within the last 12 months)
