Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Education Teacher to join our team at a large, community-driven Academy School in Basildon. As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to students in Key Stage 3-5.

About the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons to students in PE, promoting a love of physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with varying abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement the PE curriculum.
  • Contribute to the development of the school's physical education program, including extracurricular activities and sports teams.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent.
  • Experience of teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and ability to teach students how to problem-solve.
  • Resilience, determination, and a passion for physical education.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.
