About the Role:
  • As a Merchandising Specialist, you will be responsible for placing point-of-sale (POS) materials in designated areas of Asda stores, promoting various brands and supporting their marketing efforts.
  • You will work closely with store colleagues to locate previously delivered POS, ensuring accurate placement and completing tasks efficiently.
  • Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions will be crucial in achieving excellent results and meeting brand expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sign into the store, introduce yourself to key contacts, and begin your tasks promptly.
  • Liaise with store colleagues to locate and place bollard covers, promotional barkers, gondola end display units, and other POS materials in pre-arranged sections of the store.
  • Use stepladders to reach high shelves and display units, demonstrating confidence and safety awareness.
Requirements:
  • Availability to work every Thursday, between 6am and 4pm, with varying start times each week.
  • Possession of a smartphone (Android or Apple) to report visits and complete tasks using an app-based system.
  • Comfortable working at heights using stepladders and willing to move heavier boxes or stock when required.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with store colleagues.
  • Previous experience with merchandising and POS placement is essential.
