Job Duties:- Provide support to students with challenging behaviour in an educational setting.
- Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies as directed by the SENCO or teacher.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to help students develop social and emotional skills.
- Observe and report on student behaviour patterns and progress to the relevant school staff.
- Support the overall well-being and safety of students during school hours.
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
- Welsh language- desirable

Knowledge and Skills:- Understanding of behaviour management techniques in an educational setting.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with students.
- Basic knowledge of child development and psychology.

- Work primarily during school hours.
- May involve some outdoor activities or physical intervention in certain situations.
- Collaboration with teachers, SENCO, and other school staff.
Key Responsibilities: The Behavioural Support Specialist will provide support to students with challenging behaviour in an educational setting. This will involve assisting in implementing behaviour management strategies as directed by the SENCO or teacher, working one-on-one or in small groups to help students develop social and emotional skills, observing and reporting on student behaviour patterns and progress to the relevant school staff, and supporting the overall well-being and safety of students during school hours.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural challenges, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations. A Welsh language qualification is desirable.
Working with Teaching Personnel: As a Behavioural Support Specialist with Teaching Personnel, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of schools and educational settings, providing support to students with challenging behaviour. You will be part of a team of experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing high-quality support to students and schools.
