We are seeking a reliable and caring Personal Assistant to support our 14-year-old son, who has autism, ADHD, and cognitive delay. The successful candidate will provide assistance with daily activities, accompany him on outings, and help him develop social skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Accompany our son on days out and activities in the community
- Support him with social interactions and encourage appropriate behavior
- Supervise him at all times, ensuring his safety and well-being
- Use strategies to distract and encourage him when feeling anxious or uncertain
- Set clear boundaries and expectations of behavior
Requirements
- Understanding of autism and ADHD
- Experience working with children or young adults with special needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
