We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a SEND school in North Birmingham, working with students who have autism, ASD, ADHD, and display challenging behaviour.

About the School:

The school offers an alternative curriculum to students aged 4-11 who are unable to attend mainstream education, providing a supportive and inclusive environment that meets the individual needs of each student.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher with classroom preparation and lesson planning
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who require additional support
  • Lead group work and activities designed to promote social skills and independence
  • Provide personal care for students as required

Requirements:

  • Exceptional behaviour management skills and a positive attitude
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with staff, parents, and carers
  • A passion for supporting students with special educational needs and a commitment to delivering high-quality education and care
