Rhyl, Denbighshire, United Kingdom Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Full time
Job Overview

To work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, closely with staff from other agencies, to promote and maintain high standards of care for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental conditions. This will involve contributing to diagnostic assessments by undertaking specific aspects of the assessment as required, providing support to families and young people through group-based workshops and interventions, and working to meet agreed outcomes and as agreed with families.

Main Duties

The Central Neurodevelopmental Team covers Conwy and Denbighshire and offers comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessment leading to the production of a personal profile, outlining strengths and needs, and diagnosis, if appropriate, along with developing the service for the future to provide a variety of interventions. The service is also striving towards providing a range of interventions through group work, workshops, and bespoke individual interventions.

Candidates should be registered professionals, speech and language therapists, and have registration with an appropriate body. Applicants should also demonstrate experience in working with people with ND conditions (ASD and/or ADHD) and preferably, in working with children and families. Provided candidates have this prior knowledge and experience, full training through a structured induction will ensure the successful candidate will become familiar with the assessment tools and processes used within the team.
