About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Industrial System Architect to join our team. As an Industrial System Architect, you will be responsible for designing high-quality software solutions to enable digital customer services based on established design standards. You will work closely with Product Managers and Sales team members to develop commercial and technical requirements for software applications and middleware used to deliver services to electric grid customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Mentor entry-level Hardware and Software Engineering Associates
  • Create and review commercial and technical requirements
  • Develop architecture and coding in a variety of programming languages for an enterprise product suite which runs on multiple media platforms
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Sales team members to develop commercial and technical requirements for software applications and middleware used to deliver services to electric grid customers
  • Lead architecture development with a team of system architects to develop high-value solutions that delight customers consistent with the Qualitrol brand
  • Create code that meets Qualitrol coding standards, commercial specifications, and is easy to maintain
  • Develop automated test plans for unit and integration tests to ensure that features work per defined use cases
  • Ensure that all designs are documented and reviewed
  • Utilize the latest technologies such as code generation, SW containers to reduce implementation time and enhance software portability, AI for data analytics, etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree / Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of professional product development experience
  • Clear understanding of software development practices and lifecycles
  • Expertise in: C++, C#, C, Java, HTML, CSS, SQL
  • Experience with generic messaging, .NET Framework 3.5 and the latest MS Visual Studio tools
  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented concepts
  • Knowledge of database management systems
  • Knowledge of service-oriented architectures including microservices architecture
  • Independent and motivated self-starter
  • Visionary with focus on details
  • Ability to work well within teams or individually
