Senior Network and Server Engineer

At Barclays, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Network and Server Engineer to join our Complex Delivery team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a leading role in scoping, planning, and delivering technical solutions for our transformational programs and network-led initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use.
  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure and system performance, identifying and resolving potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages.
  • Develop and implement automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, contributing to our technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
Requirements
  • SME-level experience in a combination of technologies, including network and server infrastructure.
  • Strong technical skills, including software engineering, automation, and incident response.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
