About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Aerodynamicist to join our Aerodynamics department at Williams Racing in Grove, Oxfordshire.
As a Senior Aerodynamicist, you will be responsible for developing innovative and forward-thinking aerodynamic concepts, using appropriate tools and technologies to create and deliver your vision to testing.
You will also mentor junior aerodynamicists, advising on how they can develop and improve their skills and produced work.
Additionally, you will identify opportunities for process improvement within the aerodynamics department and work within your team to identify tools and technologies needed to increase development rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative and forward-thinking aerodynamic concepts
- Mentor junior aerodynamicists
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Work within your team to identify tools and technologies needed to increase development rate
- Assist in the planning and executing Wind Tunnel runs
- Analyse and report on CFD & Wind Tunnel results
Requirements
- Experience working within aerodynamics in a Formula 1 team
- Experience with CFD and Wind Tunnel techniques
- Advanced understanding of aerodynamic fundamentals
- Skilled in using CAD & CFD software
- Ability to drive outcomes under strict deadlines
- Demonstrable experience in understanding the bigger picture
- Strong influential ability to get buy-in and drive collaboration across departments
What We Offer
The Williams Group is based in a multi-acre complex located in Grove, Oxfordshire.
