Job Title: BIM CAD Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a skilled CAD designer to work with us in Scunthorpe. This is a full-time position, working Monday-Friday 07.00am-16.00pm.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

The primary objective of this role is to create designs and replicate customer drawings using various software tools. You will prepare design files for cutting, program waterjet machines, maintain cutting schedules, and communicate effectively with sales and customers to meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and edit designs using CAD-based software.
  • Replicate customer drawings from different file types, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Review customer drawings for errors and make necessary corrections.
  • Program waterjet machines for efficient and accurate cutting processes.
  • Prepare reports and quote sheets for sales teams to facilitate customer interactions.
  • Liaise with customers on technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales teams regarding customer enquiries and requests.
  • Operate Virtek scanning technology to produce CAD file drawings from customer samples.
  • Perform basic operations on waterjet machines.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate expertise in creating and reading designs.
  • Show ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Possess AutoCAD drawing knowledge and skills.
