About the Role

We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our Rheumatology Pharmacy team as a specialist clinical pharmacist. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the expansion of our services and work closely with senior healthcare professionals.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-focused pharmaceutical care to patients with rheumatic diseases. Key responsibilities include leading pharmacist-led clinics, developing and monitoring treatment pathways, and participating in multidisciplinary ward rounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide complex information on medicines use, clinical pharmacy, and financial issues to all levels of healthcare professionals
  • Lead and manage clinical pharmacy services in Rheumatology
  • Participate regularly in outpatient clinics to deliver and promote high quality, cost-effective, and patient-focused pharmaceutical care
  • Promote safe drug use within the Rheumatology specialty
  • Develop, implement, and audit local guidelines
  • Regular financial reporting, drug usage, and expenditure forecasting

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a strong background in hospital pharmacy or equivalent area of practice, with assessed competencies in pharmacotherapy and clinical leadership. A postgraduate diploma in pharmacy practice or equivalent qualification/experience is also required.

Salary and Benefits
