About the Role:

We are seeking a diligent and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, involving tasks such as loading and off-loading lorries, manufacturing, and filling.

Key Responsibilities:

Loading and Off-loading Lorries:

  • Safely and efficiently load and off-load goods from lorries.
  • Verify and check deliveries against documentation.
  • Ensure that all goods are handled with care to prevent damage.
  • Use appropriate equipment such as forklifts as required.

Manufacturing and Filling:

  • Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Assist in the production process, including filling products into containers.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent filling of products.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specified standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the manufacturing area.

General Warehouse Duties:

  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
  • Package and label products for shipment.
  • Support other warehouse tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts) safely and efficiently.
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy items.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Qualifications:

  • Valid forklift license is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
