Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Service Support Engineer to join our After-Sales Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering and be able to provide technical support to customers throughout the life of their equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support to customers remotely and on-site
  • Assisting the after-sales team with technical queries and issues
  • Supporting customers with service contracts and warranties
  • Undertaking necessary work before service visits, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or software tasks
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Relevant vocational training or completion of apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical discipline
  • Qualifications in Engineering and/or 5 years' experience in an electrical or mechanical environment
  • Proven electrical, pneumatic, or mechanical experience within the automation industry/industrial environment
  • 4+ years' experience in programming programmable LPC and human-machine interfaces using software (Siemens, ABB, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Festo, Codesys)
  • Knowledge of setting up Servos, VFDs, Remote I/O, Earth net & Profibus networks
  • Knowledge of 6-axis robot systems preferred
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostics, test, and repair of electronic/electrical and mechanical equipment

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
