About the Role

As a Charity Shop Lead Volunteer with Sue Ryder, you will play a vital role in supporting the shop management team with the day-to-day running of our Cheddar store. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service while contributing to fundraising efforts for our charity work.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to helping others. If you are passionate about making a difference in your community and enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet donors, receive donations, and sign donors up to Gift Aid.
  • Sort, label, and price stock.
  • Greet and assist customers.
  • Serve customers on the till (training provided).
  • Maintain shop displays and re-stock shelves.
  • Perform light cleaning and tidying duties to ensure the shop remains inviting and well-presented.

Salary Estimate: £8-10 per hour based on experience and location.
