Job Title: Power BI Developer

iO Associates is working with a well-known Bank based in Bristol, who are currently looking for a Power BI Developer with experience in Data Migration to join the team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead data migration projects, using ETL tools and Power Query to ensure data integrity and consistency, and map source models to Power BI datasets.
  • Design and optimise Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models, creating advanced insights using DAX.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure seamless data migration and reporting, providing training and support for users.
  • Test and troubleshoot migrated data, ensuring accuracy and resolving issues.
  • Document processes, data models, and work flows, maintaining up-to-date records of Power BI solutions.
Requirements:
  • Advanced skills in Power BI report/dashboard development, DAX, and Power Query for data transformation.
  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory) and migrating data from sources like SQL Server, Excel, APIs, and cloud databases into Power BI.
  • Expertise in querying, troubleshooting, and optimising database queries.
  • Familiarity with Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI Service.
  • Experience with large datasets in on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Must have migration experience and have worked within the Financial Industry.

Day Rate: £600 Inside IR35
Location: Bristol, hybrid model, 2-3 days per week in the office.
