The role of the After School Program Lead is to oversee and coordinate the daily activities of our students in a safe and engaging environment. As part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all children are registered and accounted for upon arrival and departure.

This position involves working 15 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 3pm to 6pm, term time only.

Key Responsibilities

  • Registration and Communication: Register children on arrival, check booking lists, and liaise with the school office regarding any missing children.
  • Resource Management: Order resources and equipment for activities following approval from the Headteacher.
  • Parental Support: Deal with parental issues and queries in a professional manner.
  • Supervision: Supervise DofE volunteers, including tracking attendance and logging hours accurately.
  • Recruitment: Participate in the recruitment process of new Wrap Around staff, including shortlisting, interviewing, and induction.
  • First Aid: Administer first aid as necessary.
  • Reporting: Inform the Senior Teacher on duty when all pupils have been collected.
  • Issue Escalation: Highlight and escalate any issues to the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher.

  • Childcare Experience: Possess previous experience in childcare or education.
  • Reliability and Adaptability: Be reliable, enthusiastic, adaptable, discreet, and tolerant.
