Wayman Learning Trust is seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join our team on a full-time permanent basis at a reputable secondary school in Lambeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching KS3 and KS4 students, developing engaging lessons, and contributing to a dynamic learning environment.

About the Role
  • Plan and deliver effective History lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching.
  • Develop differentiated learning activities to cater to diverse student needs and abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Contribute to the History curriculum, collaborating with colleagues to ensure cohesive learning experiences.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student well-being and academic success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in History or a related field, demonstrating strong academic credentials.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent), showcasing expertise in education and pedagogy.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for History, enabling informed lesson planning and delivery.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and passion for teaching, inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
  • Strong classroom management skills, maintaining a disciplined and respectful learning environment.
