Key Responsibilities:
  1. Underwrite business across multiple pillars of offering, including Multinational Solutions, Lloyd's, IUA, and Regional/Mid-market portfolios.
  2. Support business planning and forecasting processes.
  3. Monitor financial exposure within outlined limits.
  4. Ensure premium income remains within set limits.
  5. Maintain awareness of all claims advised and provide input on settlement of claims.
  6. Acquire adequate reinsurance to cover specific risks.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients.
  8. Support the design and structure of risks.
Requirements:
  • Good technical experience and expertise in Marine Cargo underwriting.
  • Marine Insurance Industry Knowledge and Commercial/Business Acumen.
  • Analytical, negotiation, and sales/marketing skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
  • Interpersonal Savvy - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good insured and broker contacts.
  • Ability to develop and understand business processes, strategy, and planning.
  • Collaborative team player who provides creative solutions and ideas for resolution.
