Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Market Garden Specialist to join our team at Organic Growers Alliance. As a key member of our farm team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our market garden, including crop planning, planting, and harvesting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the market garden, including crop planning, planting, and harvesting.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new crop varieties and growing techniques.
  • Collaborate with the farm team to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Monitor and maintain the health and quality of crops.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve crop yields and reduce waste.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in commercial organic growing.
  • Strong knowledge of crop planning, planting, and harvesting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
