Executive Head Chef

Job Description:
San Carlo, a renowned family-owned company with over 30 years of experience in the UK restaurant industry, is seeking an exceptional Sous Chef to oversee the day-to-day operations of their kitchens. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless food preparation, cooking, and plating while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Maintain a happy and engaged team through regular one-on-one meetings, incentives, and recognition programs.
• Induct new starters into the kitchen procedures and mentor junior staff members to ensure they meet company standards.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure timely food preparation and service.
• Handle customer complaints or issues related to food quality or service with professionalism and poise.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and repaired as needed.

Requirements:
• 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Proven team management skills with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks with ease.
• A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgment and minimal direction.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum.
