The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++ programming and experience with Agile development methodologies. You will be responsible for sourcing existing code, thoroughly testing computer programs, training new users, debugging issues, and ensuring compliance with data protection laws and security regulations.

Additionally, you will balance multiple projects and respond promptly to technical support requests from staff. A proven track record in software development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to learn new languages and technologies are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing existing code from open-source libraries or databases
  • Thoroughly testing computer programs and recommending updates or changes
  • Training new users to use updated programs or hardware
  • Debugging computer programs experiencing faults and glitches
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection laws and security regulations
  • Balancing workday between multiple projects
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
  • Knowledge of coding languages (e.g., C++, Java, JavaScript) and frameworks/systems (e.g., AngularJS, Git)
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies

Estimated Salary: £25,500.00 per year
