DT Teacher Job Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate DT teacher to join our team at an Alternative Provision School in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching DT to Key Stage 3 students and be able to adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach DT to Key Stage 3 students, following the curriculum and adapting lessons to meet students' individual needs.
- Manage challenging behaviour effectively and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Build strong relationships with students, helping them feel safe, secure, and motivated to learn.
- Support the emotional and social development of students, working closely with colleagues and external agencies as needed.
- Contribute to the overall development and growth of the school and its students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching DT, ideally at Key Stage 3 level.
- Experience working with students who have struggled in mainstream education or have EHCPs in place.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle challenging behaviour.
- The ability to build positive, meaningful relationships with students and staff.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
