Wireperson Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Prototype Wire Specialist to contribute to our team at SOUTH WEST RECRUITMENT, a world-class provider of test system solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality wire looms, cable assemblies, and test equipment items from drawings and kits, while adhering to strict build standards and time frames. With a strong background in the Defense/Aerospace sector, the ideal candidate will have experience working with aerospace standards and possess excellent soldering skills.

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum

About the Role:

• Producing wire looms and cable assemblies to meet demanding quality standards
• Soldering components to a consistently high standard
• Wiring cabinets and fixtures with precision and attention to detail
• Collaborating with engineers to resolve technical queries and provide innovative build solutions
• Understanding complex engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and circuit diagrams

Requirements:

• Experience in similar work within the Defense/Aerospace sector (ideally IPC 620 certified)
• Demonstrated capability through skills assessment
• Full driving license
• Possess all requirements for successfully meeting formal Security Check (SC) criteria
