We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer or Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our London office, working as part of the largest independent consulting engineering firm of its kind.

Our London office has a broad and far-reaching experience covering all sectors, and you will join a talented, dynamic, and diverse team of designers, engineers, and technical specialists with a unique working culture.

As a (Senior) Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering designs for a range of project types and sizes, working within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and support staff delivering a consistent high-quality service for clients.

The Role:

You will be working on workplace projects, designing mechanical engineering systems at the highest level using the latest software design packages, and leading mechanical services design on large projects and taking the overall lead on small to medium-sized projects within the office.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Designing and delivering mechanical engineering solutions for a range of project types and sizes.
  • Leading mechanical services design on large projects and taking the overall lead on small to medium-sized projects within the office.
  • Developing initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to colleagues, ensuring solid technical delivery in your work either alone or as part of a team.
  • Working with the team leader to help monitor fee expenditure, resources, and work delivered.
  • Maintaining a high reputation within the local industry, and ensuring adherence to QM and risk control procedures.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience across a range of projects, with a focus on workplace projects.
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to design and deliver mechanical engineering solutions at the highest level.
