About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team in Leicestershire. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our residential homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals to ensure a seamless transition and support network.
- Lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers in their daily duties, promoting a culture of excellence and best practice.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the unique needs and goals of each service user are met.
- Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Document and record all interactions, incidents, and progress, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of new initiatives and strategies to improve service delivery.
Requirements
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or be willing to complete this within the required timeframe.
- Have relevant experience working with children and young people, with a minimum of 1 year's supervisory and shift leader experience in a residential care setting.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
- Flexibility to commit to sleep-ins and shift work, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
