Job Title: Year 5 Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 5 Teacher to join our vibrant and exceptional two-form entry school in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children, focusing on individual learning targets and encouraging strengths and improvement of weaknesses.
  • Develop maths ability by introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Keep track of children's progress and report back to parents.
  • Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning.
  • Collaborate with school management, teaching staff, and parents to provide quality academic support for Year 5 students.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Education or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification and QTS.
  • At least 2 years of experience in teaching Year 5 students.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality education.
  • Ability to create and present engaging and interactive lesson plans.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff.
