Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom TTP Full time

Drive Innovation in Cell & Gene Product Development

TTP is seeking an experienced Technical Project Leader to spearhead our technically challenging, multi-phase, development projects and help bring groundbreaking solutions to life.

As part of our Cell & Gene team, you'll develop bespoke, innovative hardware solutions in the field of cell and gene therapies. We combine biology, engineering, and physical sciences to develop solutions such as scalable manufacturing systems to help fight cancer.

From capturing requirements to delivering prototypes ready for manufacture, you'll be involved in the full product development lifecycle. You'll work with our interdisciplinary team of engineers, biologists, chemists, and physicists to realize projects and bring innovative products to market.

Leading projects at TTP is a rewarding experience; you'll be empowered to deliver. You'll drive technical collaboration, project team engagement, and client relationships. You'll have the chance to stay hands-on while leading and collaborating within a team.

Requirements

We're looking for someone who can independently lead large, multi-disciplinary project teams, working at the interface of biology and engineering.

You're:

  • A technical specialist in an area translatable to the Cell and Gene field.
  • Able to lead and shape high-pressure and always-evolving projects.
  • Able to act as coach, advisor, interpreter, advocate, and confidant for the client.

We expect you to bring:

  • Experience leading complex technical projects in the cell & gene or wider biotechnology field.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Business development expertise or experience of developing customer relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • An excellent academic record with a degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.

Benefits

TTP is an employee-owned business operating from TTP Campus, our purpose-built sustainable offices, labs, and green surroundings in Melbourn, 10 miles south of Cambridge.

Our working culture encourages entrepreneurship, shared ideas, and technical collaboration, while providing you the freedom to do your best work. We value the collaborative culture we've built and see the benefit of in-person interaction for our colleagues and the business. However, we understand the importance of work-life balance and offer freedom and flexibility in how you self-manage your working week.

Our employee benefits include:

  • Annual profit-related bonus
  • 25 days holiday
  • Employer pension contribution of 12% of pensionable pay
  • Free lunch and all-day refreshments
  • Private medical insurance for employees and dependants
  • Enhanced family-friendly leave
  • Life insurance worth 6x salary
  • Electric car leasing scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Season ticket loan
  • An activities and community fund that supports healthy activities bringing colleagues together; whether it's lunchtime squash or football, Zumba or TTP's own rock band. Colleagues initiate new clubs and outings whenever they feel there's something missing
  • Local sports facilities and theatre discounts and memberships
  • A comprehensive relocation package is also available, if applicable.
