Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Safety Specialist to join our team at Orion Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety in design is prioritized in all projects.
  • Champion safety requirements and ensure facility design and project management consistently meet these standards.
  • Perform design work and/or lead activities for assigned projects, including managing work and resources, providing technical leadership, producing deliverables, contributing to schedules, and leading key safety reviews.
  • Conduct analysis, calculations, and engineering studies, producing technical safety deliverables in accordance with standards and international codes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance in safety design requirements.
  • Assist with manhour estimates and planning for proposals and projects.
  • Actively participate in technical safety reviews, including HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL.

Requirements:

  • Significant knowledge of technical safety aspects within the energy business.
  • Extensive experience in Risk Identification and Assessment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, accredited by a relevant chartered engineering institute.
  • Chartered Engineer or certified process safety practitioner status is preferred.
