Job Title: DV Cleared Lead DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer with enhanced DV Security Clearance to join our team at Opus Recruitment Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of secure cloud environments for national security and defence data and analytics.
  • Design and implement automated deployment and upgrade processes using configuration management tools.
  • Build, test, and deploy cloud infrastructure and applications using CI/CD and IaC techniques.
  • Develop and maintain custom test automation frameworks and scripts to align with evolving requirements.
  • Collaborate with the team to set up and maintain environments for manual and automated testing, providing production support by investigating and resolving incidents.
  • Engage in regular application maintenance and conduct gap analysis to identify viable solutions and assist in scoping modifications.
  • Participate in contingency planning and document new or modified module functions and test results.
  • Guide and inspire the team to meet project goals efficiently.

Core Competencies:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in delivering production-grade cloud solutions.
  • Expertise in DevSecOps and Zero Trust Architecture.
  • Proficient in AWS cloud deployment, with experience in hybrid environments.
  • Skilled in using open-source and commercial software tools within cloud-centric setups.
  • Familiarity with GitHub/GitLab/Atlassian Suite for source control and code reviews.
  • Competence with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Capability in Test Driven Development approaches and tools.
  • Understanding of cloud orchestration and containerisation technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Knowledge of distributed event streaming technologies like Kafka and Flink.

  • Salary: £100,000 - £120,000
  • Location: Southwest
  • Security Clearance Required: Enhanced DV Security Clearance
