About the Role

We are seeking a talented Actuarial Analyst to join our team at Liberty Specialty Markets. As a key member of our Actuarial Function, you will play a crucial role in evaluating business performance and providing management with a clear, risk-based view for making decisions on business strategy and risk mitigation.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience in different business functions and products, build strong networks and working relationships with actuarial and non-actuarial colleagues, and work with actuaries and senior actuaries to partner with Underwriting and aligned business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Individual account pricing and performance monitoring
  • Support and development of underwriting rating tool
  • Provision and improvement of monthly renewal rate monitoring and rate adequacy information
  • Portfolio profitability analysis for both new business and existing opportunities
  • Supporting both local and global group pricing standards, analytics and new product initiatives.
  • A commitment to achieving a Fellowship designation in the IFOA or equivalent Actuarial Society.
  • Educated to degree level with strong mathematical skills
  • Desire to work across a variety of actuarial functions and environments
  • Natural curiosity and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong technical skills (such as Python, SQL, etc)
