Job Title: 1:1 Outreach Tutor

Ackerman Pierce is seeking an experienced and dedicated 1:1 Outreach Tutor to join our team. As a Specialist Outreach Tutor, you will work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one-to-one tutoring for children waiting for school placements.

The ideal candidate will have a background in teaching English, Maths, Science, or SEN classes, with a strong track record of delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects. You will have experience working with children with complex and challenging needs, including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD, and possess exceptional behaviour management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver one-to-one tutoring to children with complex needs
  • Work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide support and guidance
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of each child
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of each child, making adjustments to the learning plan as needed
Requirements:
  • QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects
  • Experience working with children with complex needs, including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD
  • Exceptional behaviour management strategies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
