Engineering Manager Opportunity

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering with a highly regulated manufacturer in Sheffield to find a technically skilled and experienced people manager to join their team as an Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Engineering Team in the introduction of new products, production support, and process development activities.
  • Manage engineering resources to meet department objectives, identifying the necessary resources, people, money, equipment, and specialist subcontractors.
  • Deliver new product introductions into production on time and on cost by developing plans that consider risk.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to support quoting and understand the NPI pipeline.
  • Develop engineering solutions to improve processes, including reviewing new equipment, technology, and implementing changes to current processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or recognized engineering apprenticeship.
  • Demonstrable experience in NPI Project Management.
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing, preferably with cast or forge engineering experience.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry, such as medical, aerospace, or automotive.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly experience with Microsoft Project and Excel.
  • Organized and methodical approach to tasks, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on available data using good problem-solving skills.
